Meter reading is an important function performed by our staff and is the method used to determine your consumption. Here are a few things to keep in mind about meter reading and your bill:
Your water meter is read every month. However, on occasion, it may become necessary to estimate your bill. If this happens and your bill is estimated, you will be notified on your bill that it was estimated.
We bill one month behind. In other words, the bill you are paying this month is for water consumed one month ago. For example, you receive your bill in the mail in March, the water that you are actually paying for is from February.
Most meters are a new digital style. These new digital meters do not have to be physically read. Instead, we use a handheld device that picks up the reading via radio signal.
